Touchstone is a local group for people in the Porthmadog area with an established meditation practice who want to meditate with others ie there is no teaching. I started this, somewhat spontaneously, on the full moon night before 11.11.2011. We meet twice a month, on the new moon (usually in the daytime) and the full moon (usually in the evening), so the day we meet changes. We go into silence for a two hour period of practice, which is a 45 minute sit, 30 minutes walking ,and another 45 minutes sit, one bell marks the beginning and end, there is no chanting. We end with ten minutes or so of sharing, if anyone wants to say anything. It’s a moveable feast, ie the group shares hosting it in our homes. The host can choose (and usually does) to provide a simple meal, soup and bread, before or after the session, for an hour or so, for those who would like to eat together too. If you want to know more or would like to join us, contact me.
Touchstone meets on the new moon and full moon. Contact me for details of time and place.
